This intensive course was created for people who want to use Portuguese - not just study it. Over five days, you will speak, write, debate, create and navigate real situations in Portugal. The classroom is a laboratory of authentic communication, not a grammar textbook. The programme was designed with genuine pedagogical differentiation: whatever your level - A1, A2 or B1 - the course works for you. There is no single one-size-fits-all lesson, but a shared experience with different pathways. What makes this course different Real tasks, not exercises: Every class session revolves around an authentic communicative task: introducing yourself, going to the doctor, applying for a job, planning a trip, navigating Portuguese bureaucracy. Your linguistic repertoire is a resource: We use English as a shared language of mediation, and we value every language you bring to the room. Your multilingual experience is not an obstacle - it is a starting point. "My unpopular opinion": Every class begins with a short student presentation: one participant shares an opinion they consider unpopular, and the group debates it. It is an authentic, engaging and demanding way to practise spoken Portuguese every single day. A portfolio you take home: Tourist guide, job application, personal profile, intentions card — over five days you build a real portfolio that is the evidence of your learning. Lunch picnic together: The lunch break (1pm–2pm) is a moment of community. We encourage all participants to bring their own lunch and eat together. Sharing food is sharing culture, and it is also an opportunity to keep speaking Portuguese in a more relaxed conversation. Certificate of attendance: At the end of the course you receive a certificate stating the number of hours, your entry level and an assessment of your learning journey |

About Joana
Born in Sintra, Joana has always been in love with the portuguese culture and traditions. Started to study english when she was 6 years old, and later in her 20's, she studied portuguese literature and language at the university. More than a portuguese teacher, she wants to share her love for the portuguese way of living and being.
